چکیده
Abstract The cockle immerses in the substrate of intertidal zone. Their conditions and growth factors are highly dependent on nutrients around waters Kendari Bay. Therefore, this study aims to determine relationship between length, weight, condition factors. was conducted March 2016 February 2017 at zone samples were collected with a shovel 1x1 m square transect monthly. Furthermore, length weight shells measured using calliper digital scale an accuracy 0.5 cm 0.001g, respectively. oven-dried for 48 hours. Simple linear regression used analyze while examined Mann-Whitney test. results showed that male female had b values negative allometric isometric categories, which spread from respective ranges 2.31-3.06 2.21-3.23. males females increased March-September then decreased October-February. Meanwhile, mussels based size time observation not significantly different ranged 3.24±1.33-7.07±0.43 2.94±0.54-6.63±1.09. highest index discovered October, March, August, respectively, lowest occurred June September.

This study aimed to determine the occurrence of Vibrio parahaemolyticus in cockles (Anadara granosa) at a harvesting area and to detect the presence of virulent strains carrying the thermostable direct hemolysin (tdh) and TDH-related hemolysin genes (trh) using PCR. Of 100 samples, 62 were positive for the presence of V. parahaemolyticus with an MPN (most probable number) value greater than 3.0...
